As we enter December, we are no strangers to the shorter days and the longer nights. The long dark nights can be very redundant and monotonous affecting our day to day mood. We tend to get lost in the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season and we often forget what this season truly means. I am a big believer in appreciating all the small things in your life that fills you with joy like having a taste of cookie dough from your favorite cookie or simply putting up your Christmas tree and decorating it with your favorite ornaments you and your family have collected over the years while reminiscing through all the memories. One of the simple things that reminds me of what the Holidays are all about is driving around the neighborhood and looking at all the beautiful Holiday lights.
At a young age, my parents would drive us around nearby neighborhoods admiring all the bright and beautiful Holiday decorations. My sister and I would be bouncing our heads between each others windows gazing at all the lights! Big Ones! Small Ones! Snowflake Shaped and Icicle Shaped! So many lights, sounds and Holiday cheer to soak in! With my son and daughter being around the same age as my sister and I were, I am eager to take them on a Holiday tour myself!
